Human Lives Human Rights: Thousands of Ukrainian Jews have sought refuge in Israel since the beginning of the Russian-led invasion of Ukraine, and this has been welcomed by Tel Aviv.
Also, contrary to the long-standing relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv, Israel has sided with Kiev since the beginning of the current crisis in Ukraine.
But why Israel welcomes the emigration of Ukrainian Jews to Tel Aviv, or why, despite its strategic alliance with the United States, and contrary to its good relations with Russia, it has pledged its support for Ukraine and its government?
It should be said that since Israel has been seeking to consolidate its legitimacy and presence in the Middle East by any means possible during the seventy-four years since its establishment, one of these reasons could be used to expand its population without interruption.
Israel can use every possible means to accomplish this strategic goal. In other words, while encouraging its citizens to have more children and having no boundaries in this regard, as in previous decades, one of the other ways to increase its population is to bring immigrant Jewish population from all over the world to the occupied territories of Palestine.
This strategy is so important to Tel Aviv that it is even willing to ruin its good relations with Moscow, because if we want to look at the matter pessimistically, the strained relations between Russia and Israel could eventually lead to the Kremlin putting the Jewish citizens of Russia in a tight spot. The same thing could lead to the migration of Russian Jewish citizens to Israel.
However, in general, a few ideological and strategic reasons can be given for Tel Aviv’s acceptance of the Jewish population from all over the world to Israel:
Following the ancient slogan of the Promised Land and gathering all the Jews of the world in Israel in order to establish the legitimacy of Israel in the minds of the followers of the Mosaic religion as their only motherland
Following the commandments of Judaism and the Torah based on the need to increase the Jewish population and emphasizing more childbearing. The more Jews enter Israel, the more births there will be.
Thus, the policy of a racial cleansing and occupation of the occupied territories continues, and more and more Palestinian Muslims will be in the minority in terms of population because they are being shot down blindly.
Therefore, from any point of view, the policy of letting the Jewish population enter Israel can be considered as important and much beneficial for Tel Aviv.
