In August 6, 1949 the world watched in shock and sorrow as the United States dropped an atomic bomb over the Japanese city of #Hiroshima, instantly killing over 100,000 people.
Only three days later, another atomic bomb was dropped on #Nagasaki, killing over 70,000 people.
The United States was the first country to use the deadly bomb. 70 years on, it remains the only country to have ever used the #atomic bomb.
