PMO's attempt to expel Iran from the Women's rights body

Human Lives Human Rights: Reuters news agency, citing several diplomats, reported that the resolution proposed by the United States to push Iran to be removed from a U.N. women’s equality and empowerment body will be voted on Dec. 14.

The United States on Monday circulated a draft resolution on the move, seen by Reuters, that also denounces Iran’s policies as “flagrantly contrary to the human rights of women and girls and to the mandate of the Commission on the Status of Women.”

Iran has just started a four-year term on the 45-member commission, which meets annually every March and aims to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The People’s Mojahedin Khalq Organization has placed one of its fields of activity against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of diplomacy for years. The People’s Mojahedin are trying to destroy the Islamic Republic of Iran in different diplomatic ways. Among these measures, the following can be mentioned:

1-Establishing communication and cooperation with competing and hostile regional actors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, such as the Israeli regime and Saudi Arabia;

2-Establishing communication and cooperation with hostile global powers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, such as the United States;

3- Establishing a relationship with European and American politicians who are against the Islamic Republic of Iran, through money and bribery. For example, every year in late July or early August, the People’s Mojahedin Organization invites these people to speak and declare solidarity against the Islamic Republic of Iran in a virtual or in-person conference called Free Iran.

4- Lobbying with the US Congress and Senate and bribing their representatives, hiring American lobbyists to facilitate the connection of the People’s Mojahedin Khalq organization with the US legislatures, European parliaments and various European Union institutions.

5- The attempt to spy on the scientific projects of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the leakage of their information in international forums, it is worth to mention that for the first time this organization was the People’s Mojahedin and the National Council of Resistance, which disclosed the information of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program, was in August 2013 and provided the reasons for the initiation of Iran’s nuclear case in the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Security Council.

6- Lobbying with specialized institutions of the United Nations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. For example, since Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi took office as the president of Iran, the People’s Mojahedin have been trying to present the case of executions in the summer of 1989 in the Security Council as a crime against humanity.

In such a situation, it is very probable and obvious that in the recent case, the People’s Mojahedin Khalq Organization, in line with its long-standing strategy, which is to isolate the Islamic Republic of Iran, is consulting with the American authorities and the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations as an institution. The higher authority of the commission is the female authority to provide the conditions and reasons for the expulsion of the Islamic Republic of Iran from this commission.
