Human Lives Human Rights: While the Islamic republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia are at a high level of tensions that may lead to a war, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) cannot conceal its pleasure of a disturbed relationship between Iran and its neighbors.
Once, the MKO leader Massoud Rajavi took a lot of advantages from the war between Iran and Iraq although he lost his least support among the Iranian public due to siding with their aggressive enemy. However, the MKO leaders have no way out except resorting to the old tool which is siding with the enemy of Iranian nation. The group’s propaganda media garner their headlines with sponsorship for Saudi Arabia.
MKO – Saudi Arabia’s arm to carry out terror operations
In the heartbreaking tragedy of 2015 Hajj pilgrimage, the MKO leader and propaganda predictably disregarded the loss of a large number of their country-men, instead they played the part of attorney of the Saudis. Maryam Rajavi usually sends message of condolences for the least earthquake that shakes Iran –even if there is no death casualty—and always put the fault of casualties of the quake on the Iranian Government’s mismanagement but she never offered sympathy to the large number of survivors of the Mina disaster that was the direct result of mismanagement of the government of Saudi Arabia that is supposed to manage the most important annual event of the world of Islam.
The MKO’s propaganda covers the clashes in Yemen as if Islamic Republic is bombing civilians rather than Saudi Arabia! Yemen has turned into a humanitarian disaster, where thousands of bombs are being dropped, 1.5 million people are displaced and more than 90% of the population is in need of assistance. The Guardian views Yemen’s crisis as “the forgotten war”.
But why the Western media forget it because “the US is one of the primary causes of the problem”. This reason is exactly true for the MKO media because Saudi Arabia is one of their military and financial sponsors as well as the US and the Zionist regime.
The West is actively assisting the Saudi monarchy while the country indiscriminately kills thousands of civilians in Yemen in what amounts to war crimes by almost anyone’s definition. To obey its western masters and to flatter its main sponsor in the region the MKO turns blind eye to the most horrific atrocities against humanity. However, it claims to advocate human rights and democracy for the Iranian people.
Money is the ultimate goal of the MKO
What is most important for the MKO to make allies, is only money. As far as the group is financially supported by Saudis, the MKO media serves as their “fan Club”. This is one of many accounts of the Saudi’s sponsorship for the MKO that Press TV reported:
“A Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization defector says the terrorist group receives funding from Saudi Arabia and Israel, emphasizing MKO’s role in the suppression and massacre of Iraqis under the former Baath regime. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ashraf News website in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, Maryam Sanjabi said there is evidence about the relations and cooperation between the MKO and the Saudi kingdom. She added that the group has used the tactic of establishing relations with Jordanian lawmakers in order to expand their activities in Jordan with the help of Riyadh.”
Saudi Arabia seeks to create tensions in the Islamic Republic of Iran using MKO
Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia has for the time being opted for escalating tensions with Iran. The following point indicates Saudi Arabia’s hostile approach: Kingdom’s support for the groups that carry out terrorist acts in Iran such as the Mojahedin-e Khalq, which until 2012 was on the U.S. State Department’s list of terrorist organizations.
There are many terrorist organizations that seek to destabilize Iraq and weaken the will of its people. In particular, the MKO, as we saw soon after the emergence of ISIL terrorist group in Iraq, the MKO said that it had allied itself with the ISIL and will support it directly and indirectly.
Mujahedin-e Khalq committed heinous crimes under the rule of Baath regime and used the tactics of hatred against the Iraqi people. Today, the MKO, in alliance with ISIS, is trying to carry out a number of operations that destabilize the security situation in Iraq and provoke sectarian clashes between different groups in Iraq.
ISIL is looking for ways to increase its hostile influence in Iraq by creating secret and public alliances with others, with the aim of carrying out the destruction and division, heinous crimes using bloody and brutal tactics against the entire nation of Iraq.
From this point of view, it is not surprising that the MKO terrorists being the most important of these groups, because regardless of their tactics, both groups share same goal, which is the destruction of Iraq and the unity of the country, humanitarian rights of the people or any kind of bloodshed.
Presence of Saudi officials in the annual meeting of MKO
Saudi Arabia’s former intelligence chief and ambassador, Prince Turki al-Faisal criticized the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the annual meeting of MKO organized in Paris in June 2016.
According to the Anadolu Agency, Turki blamed the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution – Ayatollah Khomeini – and the Iranian government which followed him of spreading revolution to other parts of the world.
Claiming that Iran followed an isolationist policy after the revolution, the head of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies said that not only political activists but also ethnic and religious minorities were against authoritarianism and totalitarian ideology.
“Khomeini’s first victims were the Iranian people,” Faisal said, adding that Arabs had always been respectful of Iran’s people. Those present in the rally, applauded his speech.
Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, an opposition group in exile, also spoke at the gathering. Rajavi said that the effect and the number of people resisting the Iranian regime were increasing every day.
Emphasizing that “the only way to get rid of the bad situation in Iran is to change the regime in this country,” Rajavi said, “Iran seeks to hide its defeats inside the country by supporting the killings of the Syrian regime.”
The gathering was attended by many famous personalities from the Arab world and other parts of the world.
It is also said that Prince Turki Faisal, the former head of the Saudi intelligence service, while emphasizing the need for regime change in Iran, praised Maryam Rajavi, the head of the MKO and her late husband Massoud Rajavi.
